Profile
Mohamad A, a graduate in Fine Arts, has been passionately pursuing photography for more than two decades. He was awarded the prestigious Junior Fellowship for Photography instituted by the Department of Culture, Government of India (2002- 2004) that enabled him to give wings to his dreams.
His works are thematically enriching since he expresses relevant themes through the fusion of light and color. Many such works have been featured in renowned national and international magazines. Besides being particularly interested in capturing nature as well as the lifestyle, culture, and traditions of different people he has expertise in visually documenting both archival and archaeological materials which have also widened his scope at creative and professional levels.
He conducted a number of exhibitions of photography and did the cinematography for various short films and documentaries which earned him recognition.
His creative pursuit takes a significant turn in 2018 when he made his cinematography debut in feature films with the Malayalam movie Udalazham which was screened at various national and international film festivals. There are two more feature films to his credit.
Mohamed A, hailing from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, is keen on exploring the nuances of the art to widen his horizon.
